CiTi Students Incubating Chicken Eggs
Students in the Project Explore program at the Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation recently combined farming and science and began the process of incubating chicken eggs.
Oswego County Legislator and local farmer Heather DelConte visited with the students to provide them with chicken eggs and tips on how to properly incubate them.
DelConte told the students the environment for the eggs needs to be just right for them to hatch, including temperature, humidity and ventilation. The students then placed 24 eggs into a Styrofoam incubator, where they will remain for approximately three weeks until they hatch.
