74 students from across Oswego County were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society at the Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation.
The CiTi Career and Technical Education students achieved scholarly success and exhibited amiable character to meet membership eligibility requirements.
Each of the inductees demonstrated responsibility, service, leadership, skill, scholarship, honesty and citizenship, in addition to having met additional eligibility criteria, which include maintaining a 90 percent or higher average in their CTE class and maintaining good academic standing and attendance in their home district.
CiTi Board of Education President John Shelmidine said, “This is the highest of honors. It demands dedication, perseverance and focus. It requires a command of the skills of the trade along with academic excellence.”
Following a candle lighting ceremony, award recipients received certificates and pins honor cords before they recited the NTHS pledge of membership.
