Welding CTE Students Visit JPW for Steel Day

Students in CiTi’s Welding Technology program had the opportunity to experience the professional side of fabrication during JPW Companies’ Steel Day Event on Oct. 24.

They toured the company’s facilities, observed large-scale steel fabrication in action, and spoke directly with industry professionals about modern welding technologies, teamwork and career pathways in the trades. The event offered valuable insight into the real-world applications of the skills students are developing in the classroom.

“Events like this open doors for our students as they prepare to transition from our training classrooms to the worksite,” said Brian Heffron, CiTi Administrator of Workforce Development & Community Relations. “I’d like to thank John P. Wozniczka II, President of JPW Companies, and his team for their continued partnership with our Career Technical Education programs and their commitment to creating pathways to meaningful employment in the regional trades sector.”
