High school students from the nine component school districts in Oswego County who are interested in pursuing career training as part of their high school experience are eligible to enroll in our CTE programs. Contact your high school counselor to arrange for a visit to our center and learn more about the opportunities available.

Students should exhibit positive school attendance and conduct at their home schools, while remaining in good academic standing. Some CTE programs may require additional application criteria. Please review with your home school counselor for details.

Yes. Students enrolled in a CTE program at CiTi are eligible to earn either an Advanced Regents diploma, Regents diploma, or local diploma. The CTE programs also provide students with a chance to earn high school credits towards graduation. Opportunities are also available to earn college credits through certain programs.

No. Students can select any career path program they have a sincere interest in exploring.

Each year in December, CiTi holds a 10th grade orientation where students can visit the center and learn about the program offerings. For those students who are interested in attending, the first step is to meet with your home school counselor and learn how CiTi can benefit your career path. Your counselor can then help you begin the enrollment process.

While attending a CTE program, students gain confidence and competence in developing their skills in specific career fields. Many of our CTE programs have articulation agreements with colleges, technical schools and universities and students can earn college credits while attending their CiTi program courses. Students are provided transportation from their home schools to their CTE program. CiTi operates on a morning and afternoon schedule. Depending on the program of choice, students will attend classes from 8:30 to 11 a.m., or 12:00 to 2:30 p.m, or all day. Following their CTE classes, students will be returned to their school by their home school district transportation department.

Yes. Several of our CTE programs offer student clubs specific to their course. Also, available is participation in Skills USA, a national organization that provides quality educational experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. Regional, state and national competitions bring outstanding students together to showcase their skills and earn medals, prizes and scholarships.
