The Union/Trades Expo features career awareness activities and interactive presentations from our trade and labor unions.
This school year's Union and Trades Expo will be held on November 21, 2025 at the CiTi BOCES Mexico Campus.

Middle and high school students from multiple CiTi BOCES programs recently attended the Union/Trades Day Expo held at the CiTi Mexico campus.
More than a dozen trade and labor unions were present to speak with students and provide career awareness activities and interactive presentations.
“We are here today to show kids that there are other career paths besides college,” said Sarah Ferguson, Training Fund Coordinator for Operating Engineers – Local 158. “We have partnered with CiTi because they have a great heavy equipment program that creates skilled workers to fill the industry.”
The trade and labor unions present for the expo were Carpenters - Local 277, Electricians - IBEW Local 43, Painters, Tapers, Glaziers - IUPAT District Council 4, Iron Workers - Local 60, Laborers - Local 633, Operating Engineers - Local 158, Plumbers & Steamfitters - Local 81, Sprinkler Fitters - Local 669 , Roofers- Local 195, Sheet Metal Workers - Local 58, Department of Transportation, OCWDNY, CiTi BOCES CTE and Skills USA
The Union/Trades Day Expo is one of several career exploration and workforce development opportunities that CiTi is providing all students in Oswego County as part of its Career Connection Series. Medical Day is the next expo in the series and will be held in April.
