  • The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) invites you to apply to be a part of Synergy Plus, a virtual 6:1:2 special education program. Synergy Plus is a 100% virtual opportunity to deliver one to one or small group live virtual instruction based on student individual needs and subject areas during the school day.  

    CiTi is seeking individuals who are flexible, creative, innovative, who think fluidly in a dynamic work environment, and will work to provide unique learning opportunities for students.  Candidates must have instructional technology skills, be well versed in virtual learning, or have an aptitude for virtual learning as well as being a quick learner.  Knowledge of instructional software and tools are a must and candidates must be able to foster a positive and engaging learning environment in a virtual community.  

    Classes are taught in a synchronous interactive videoconferencing environment while using a learning management system platform.  Teaching Assistants are expected to support live virtual interactive classes, engage students in meaningful learning experiences, track student progress, and communicate with students and guardians.  Strong collaboration, communication, and instructional technology skills are essential.

  • CiTi BOCES is seeking a passionate and student-centered dually certified teacher (ELA 7–12 and Students with Disabilities) to join our A+ Program, serving high school students (grades 9–12) with diverse learning needs. This teacher will provide engaging English Language Arts instruction within a highly structured, supportive classroom environment that emphasizes individualized learning and social-emotional development.

    About the A+ Program:

    The A+ Program offers a balanced educational experience for students within an 8:1:2 classroom ratio. It is designed for students identified as having Autism or exhibiting neurodivergent characteristics. Students in this program may display social-emotional delays, academic skill deficits, sensory or processing needs, and expressive and receptive communication challenges. The A+ Program promotes individualized supports, evidence-based instruction, and collaboration to help each student reach their fullest potential.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Providing differentiated ELA instruction aligned with NYS learning standards.
    • Implementing students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with fidelity.
    • Participating in the development of IEPs, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Conducting progress monitoring and maintaining accurate data on student achievement toward IEP goals.
    • Collaborating closely with teaching assistants, related service providers, and other team members to support student success.
    • Creating and maintaining a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and self-regulation.

  • The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation’s Adult Literacy office is seeking a part-time GED Instructor to provide differentiated instruction and support students directly to prepare students for the GED exam and for gainful employment post-graduation.

    Opening - Remote Instruction – 

    QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in the following areas of study: education, math, science, history, and/or English. Must be or become adult Education Certified within 60 days of employment through NYSED AEPP office, if not a NYS certified teacher. Preferred Qualification: NYS Certified Teacher or bachelor’s degree in education. Must pass a fingerprint background check.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will:

    • Prepare differentiated learning materials in Math, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Science

  • GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • The P‑TECH Academic Success Coach is an educator who champions student potential and drives equitable academic growth across the P‑TECH program. Grounded in the belief that every learner can excel, the Coach strengthens college‑ and career‑readiness through targeted instruction, coaching, and coordinated support systems. The P-TECH Academic Success Coach is a teacher who works to strengthen student success across the P-TECH program and fill in gaps students need for college readiness. This role supports both students and staff through a combination of teaching, coaching, and coordination of academic support systems. The Academic Success Coach helps lead the school’s MTSS structures and skills-based programming while partnering with teachers to improve classroom practices. Using student data and progress-monitoring tools, the Coach helps identify needs, track growth, and guide supports. The Coach collaborates closely with counselors, special education staff, administrators, and college partners to ensure students are supported throughout their high school and college experience.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Facilitates the school’s MTSS system with a strong emphasis on instruction, intervention, and skill-building, across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3.
    • Leads and teaches the “P-TECH Skills Academy” which provides direct instruction to students in executive functioning, study skills, time management, note-taking, self-advocacy, and college success skills.
    • Partners with teachers in classrooms to model strategies, co-plan supports, and strengthen Tier 1 practices that improve student organization, engagement, independence, and academic success.
    • Builds and maintains a shared toolbox of strategies and interventions so teachers and students are using consistent language, routines, and supports across classes and grade levels.
    • Works directly with students and teachers to design and deliver academic and college-readiness supports, while managing and/or supporting 504 casework in collaboration with counselors and administrators.
    • Uses data platforms and progress-monitoring tools to benchmark student growth, track intervention impact, and help teachers adjust instruction and supports.
    • Monitors student data across attendance, grades, and high school and college coursework to identify needs early and design timely academic interventions.
    • Provides and coordinates small-group and targeted interventions, and case-manages Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports in collaboration with teachers, counselors, administrators, special education staff, and OCC partners.
    • Works closely with the college liaison to support seniors, 5th-year, and 6th-year students, including weekly time on the college campus or targeted Friday support.

    Qualifications:

    • NYS teacher certification required.   Students with Disabilities or Literacy preferred; other relevant certifications will be considered based upon experience with MTSS, academic intervention, or college readiness coaching. 
    • Experience helping students build the skills they need to succeed in college and career, including organization, time management, task initiation, planning and prioritizing, self-monitoring and emotional regulation. Demonstrated experience supporting students with academic skill-building, including executive functioning, organization, study skills, and college-readiness skills.
    • Experience working within an MTSS or RTI framework, including Tier 1 instruction, Tier 2 interventions, and/or Tier 3 supports.

  • This is routine informational and communicative support work in the Public Relations and Print Shop/Mail Room departments of CiTi BOCES. The incumbent performs a variety of tasks related to collecting, organizing, and presenting information for internal and external audiences. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a Public Information Assistant, Printer’s Assistant or higher-level staff. Does related work as required.
    This title is entry-level; duties are supportive in nature. Duties are performed with some latitude, but more complex responsibilities remain with higher-level positions.
    Work is performed under direct supervision. The incumbent reports to the Public Relations Coordinator or designee, with work reviewed for accuracy and compliance.

    TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
    Information Support, Print and Communications Assistance
    •    Assists in preparing and distributing information about school programs, events, and activities to staff, students, parents, and the public.
    •    Drafts and organizes content for posting on official district social media accounts and websites for review of a higher-level position.
    •    Takes photographs and records basic video content at school events and activities for communications use.
    •    Assists in drafting captions, short descriptions, and other communication pieces to accompany photos and media.
    •    Assists with routine print-related tasks under supervision by a higher-level position.
    Media, Events, and Outreach
    •    Provides event support, including covering school programs, meetings, and community engagement activities through photography and digital content.
    •    Helps maintain and update departmental calendars with media and communication deadlines.
    •    Coordinates with staff to collect information and materials for newsletters, fliers, and other informational documents.
    Clerical and Administrative Support
    •    Answers informational phone calls and emails from the public, directing inquiries as needed.
    •    Assists with basic clerical duties such as data entry, filing, copying, and maintaining informational records.
    •    Prepares basic informational materials and assists in assembling resource packets as needed.
    •    Other administrative duties as assigned.
    Public Interface
    •    Acts as a positive information resource for students, staff, and visitors, providing courteous assistance and support.
    •    Assists with scheduling photo/video assignments and tracking media assets.
    Emphasis of duties may vary based on school year, communication priorities, and assigned projects.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Phlebotomy Instructor (part-time, 2 evenings a week while class is in session)

    Minimum Requirements: Possess a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of experience working as a phlebotomist. Experience as a trainer preferred but not required.

    Typical Work Activities:

    • Instruction including but not limited to:
    • Curriculum is provided, but the instructor is responsible for recommendations for updates to the curriculum, incl. quizzes, tests and other materials;

  • Position Overview:

    The Nursing Assistant Instructor will provide high-quality instruction and mentorship to high school students enrolled in the Nursing Assistant program. This position requires a passionate educator dedicated to preparing students for careers in healthcare, particularly as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). The instructor will design and implement curriculum, manage classroom & clinical environments, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Curriculum Development and Instruction:
      • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Nursing Assistant curriculum in accordance with New York State Education Department (NYSED) standards.
      • Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
      • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and promote critical thinking and practical skills.
    2. Student Supervision and Support:
      • Assess student learning & skills acquisition and provide documentation in our student management system.
      • Monitor, evaluate & report student progress, offering constructive feedback and additional support as needed.
      • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to students to foster academic and professional growth.
      • Facilitate student learning in clinical environments, ensuring adherence to safety and ethical standards.
    3. Clinical Coordination:
      • Collaboratively supervise clinical rotations with other program staff.
      • Maintain strong relationships with clinical partners, ensuring placements meet educational and regulatory standards.
      • Ensure students meet clinical competencies and state certification requirements.
      • Maintain student performance-based competency records to meet NYSED / NYSDOH requirements for licensure.
    4. Compliance and Documentation:
      • Ensure program compliance with NYSED, New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), and other relevant regulatory bodies.
      • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and clinical hours.
      • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
    5. Community Engagement:
      • Promote the Nursing Assistant program within the school and community.
      • Engage with local healthcare providers, professional organizations, and community groups to enhance program visibility and opportunities for students.
      • Participate in school-wide events, initiatives, and committees to support the overall mission of CiTi BOCES & CTE. 
      • Attend & participate in CTE Advisory.
      • Participate in NYSED CTE Program reapproval & all its components.

    Qualifications:

    • NYS Licensure - RN (LPN does not meet Teacher certification requirements)
    • NYS Teacher’s certification- CTE Nurses Assisting (or ability & willingness to obtain) 
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Education preferred.
    • Certified CPR Instructor - must be from an accredited vendor such as: Red Cross or American Heart Association
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience. 2 years’ experience must be in geriatric care (per NYSED certification requirements). Prior teaching experience, particularly at the high school level, is highly desirable.

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.

    Work Environment:

  • CiTi BOCES Career & Technical Education (CTE) department is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Assistant Principal to join its leadership team. The Assistant Principal supports the principal in fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment that promotes student achievement, strong school culture, and operational excellence.

    Successful experience as a classroom teacher is required; experience in CTE is preferred.

  • The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) invites you to apply to be a part of SYNERGY Virtual Learning. Synergy Virtual Learning offers students and school districts multiple modalities of instruction.  This specific position is to teach Earth Science or Physics to a classroom of students in a school district synchronously via interactive videoconferencing.  While this position is a remote position, another adult will be in the classroom at the school district with the students overseeing classroom management. 

    CiTi is seeking individuals to teach part-time who are flexible, creative, innovative, who think fluidly in a dynamic work environment, and will work to provide unique learning opportunities for students.  Candidates must have instructional technology skills, be well versed in virtual learning or have an aptitude for virtual learning and be a quick learner.  

    Classes will be taught in a synchronous environment while using a learning management system.  Applicants will be expected to teach during the traditional workday.

  • We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher in a special class setting. This middle school (grades 6-8) classroom serves neurodivergent learners, including students with autism and other learning differences. The teacher will create meaningful learning experiences through empowering every student utilizing accessible instruction and a collaborative, student-first approach.

    The A+ program provides a structured and supportive educational environment for students with diverse learning needs, including social-emotional differences, sensory/processing needs, and expressive or receptive communication challenges. 

    This role emphasizes not only direct instruction for our middle school students but also leadership in guiding a team of teaching assistants who support individualized student learning. The ideal candidate is skilled in fostering teamwork, providing guidance to instructional staff, and ensuring all classroom supports work together to maximize student engagement and success.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that prioritize student strengths, engagement, and measurable growth.
    • Deliver instruction aligned with NYS Standards in accessible and differentiated ways to meet diverse learning needs.
    • Lead and guide teaching assistants in supporting instruction, classroom management, and individualized student supports.
    • Provide direction and professional modeling to ensure instructional strategies are consistently and effectively implemented.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive educational services and student-centered solutions.
    • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to maximize learning outcomes and skill development.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages participation, growth, and student confidence.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree preferred).
