Full Circle Moment: Two Early Childhood Education Graduates Return as Educators at CiTi BOCES
It was a full circle moment for Early Childhood Education instructor Beth Britton to walk in to the CiTi gymnasium on opening day for staff and spot two former students, now returned as CiTi employees.
Kennedy VanBuren from Hannibal Central School District and Carrigan Hilton from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District are now a teacher and teaching assistant for a CiTi A+ program.
“I saw them on opening day and was so excited to hear the news,” said Britton. “I took their photo so I could share with my current students.”
VanBuren and Hilton’s journey from students to educators exemplifies the impact of CiTi BOCES’ commitment to nurturing future professionals.
“If you are interested in working with kids, this is the course to take,” said Hilton about the career and technical education high school experience.
The duo’s return to CiTi highlights the role CiTi plays helping students achieve their career goals, and their shared dedication to fostering a positive learning environment for the next generations is a testament to the strength of the Early Childhood Education program.
