Secondary Special Education Teacher, A+ Program
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Regents level High School English courses to students with autism or students exhibiting other neurodivergent characteristics. This role requires a strong understanding of special education practices, a commitment to individualized instruction, and the ability to develop engaging and accessible lesson plans.
The A+ program is designed to provide a balanced educational program for students K-12 in a highly structured environment. Students may also display social-emotional delays, sensory/processing needs and have expressive and receptive communication delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism.
- Teach secondary ELA aligned to the NYS Standards, adapting materials and methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support student learning and engagement.
- Collaborate with other educators, related services providers, and support staff to provide comprehensive educational services.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.

Qualifications:

Early College Access Specialist
Position Overview:
The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi BOCES) invites you to apply for the Early College Specialist as part of a new BOCES service called Early College Access. The Early College Specialist is responsible for the supporting districts in planning, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of Early College programs and services for CiTi’s participating districts. The Early College Specialist collaborates with 1-2 districts participating in the Early College Access Service.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Title Specific:
- Support all aspects of the Early College Access Program under the direction of the participating districts, colleges, and BOCES;
- Collaborating with the partners for this program. Partners include the colleges, component districts including administration and faculty, the students, and families;
- Envision, create, promote, and support new Early College programs and services that relate to the needs of the participating districts;
- Develop and update best practices and training materials to help others to implement early college opportunities.
Program Responsibilities:
- Provide support and planning for an Early College continuum of services within participating districts;
- Work in collaboration with K-12 Partnerships staff to evaluate course offerings in area high schools, on campus and via distance learning to assist in the creation of meaningful pathways;
- Oversee course offerings at each high school to keep EC students on track to program completion;
- Provide academic advising oversight for EC students, and work with college advising staff to support K-12 school counselors in EC advising;
- Collaborate with
- Districts and College’s applied learning staff and partner with industry to scaffold early vocational exposure, and coordinate industry mentoring;
- Partners including parents, industry and secondary education to be a community/ stakeholder liaison;
- College staff to help coordinate on-campus experiences for high school students and support for EC students studying on the College campus and via distance learning;
- Oversee EC student registration and records maintenance;
- Create, implement, and maintain a communication plan and all related materials, such as website, brochures, handouts, general information summaries, and newsletters for EC;
- Facilitate college visitations and job shadowing as applicable;
- Maintain professional and effective relationships with College and high school faculty, administration and staff in order to effectively transition students from high school to College;
- Work with College and high school staff to develop and conduct informational seminars and workshops for EC students;
- Assist with the development and assessment of program activities, goals and objectives relating directly to EC programs;
- Develop programming for early career exploration in elementary and middle school;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- New York State Teacher or Counselor Certification;
- Five (5) years of classroom teaching or counseling experience;
- College in the high school experience preferred.

CTE Nursing Assistant Instructor
The Nursing Assistant Instructor will provide high-quality instruction and mentorship to high school students enrolled in the Nursing Assistant program. This position requires a passionate educator dedicated to preparing students for careers in healthcare, particularly as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). The instructor will design and implement curriculum, manage classroom & clinical environments, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Nursing Assistant curriculum in accordance with New York State Education Department (NYSED) standards.
- Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Education preferred.
- Certified CPR Instructor - must be from an accredited vendor such as: Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience. 2 years experience must be in geriatric care (per NYSED certification requirements). Prior teaching experience, particularly at the high school level, is highly desirable.

ENL Teacher
The NYS ENL Teacher, also known as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher or English Language Learner (ELL) teacher, is responsible for providing English language instruction to students whose primary language is not English. Duties include providing migrant youth (ages 3 to 21) with tutoring, advocacy, and support services; maintaining contact with students’ teachers to align support with classroom instruction; making home visits, assisting with the planning and implementation of field trips and other program-sponsored events; participating in staff meetings and required professional development; and submitting required documentation (schedules, service records, time sheets, travel reimbursement, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.

Senior Typist - Exceptional Education
This position is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level employee, permitting the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out details of the work. Depending on the agency assignment, an incumbent may function as secretary to a department head. Specific instructions may be given for new or unusual assignments. Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Itinerant
The Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing provides specialized instructional support to students with hearing impairments across multiple school settings within the CiTi BOCES region. This role involves direct service, consultation, and collaboration with general education teachers, families, service providers, and school personnel to support student success and promote inclusive practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Virtual Part- Time Teachers
The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) invites you to apply to be a part of SYNERGY Virtual School. This new school is a 100% virtual opportunity to earn both a NY State High School diploma and potentially, an associate degree from Cayuga Community College.
CiTi is seeking individuals to teach part-time who are flexible, creative, innovative, who think fluidly in a dynamic work environment, and will work to provide unique learning opportunities for students. Candidates must have instructional technology skills, be well versed in virtual learning or have an aptitude for virtual learning and be a quick learner.
Classes will be taught in a synchronous interactive videoconferencing environment while using a learning management system. Teachers will be expected to teach live virtual interactive videoconferencing classes and create a strong online presence. Live classes are 80 minutes every other day between 8:30-3:00.
