    As a valuable member of the dental administrative team, the Dental Receptionist assumes significant responsibilities within the dental office, such as: office manager, treatment coordinator, and insurance/patient billing manager. Dental Receptionists perform a wide variety of tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills. The program is 190 hours, including 40 hours of on-site internship at local dental offices. Coursework includes dental electronic records management, interpreting patient registrations, medical/dental histories, and HIPAA compliance forms. Additionally, treatment plans, insurance and patient billing utilizing current dental terminology (CDT) coding, appointment scheduling, and customer service will be instructed. Workforce scholarships are available.

  • Admissions requirements: 

    • Completed application with two professional references
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 250-word essay and interview with lead instructor
    • Achieve Reading 10 and Math 8 on Level A of the TABE exam or a passing Kaplan exam score
    • Up-to-date physical and immunization records
    • Valid CPR card
  • Tuition: $2,125 (includes all learning materials) 

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. for approximately six weeks (internship hours may vary)
