Diesel Mechanic

This new 460-hour program on truck and heavy equipment repair is aligned to the 2021-2023 Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) foundation standards for heavy equipment repair. This program focuses on the repair and proper operation of hydraulics and hydrostatics, electronics and electrical systems, air conditioning and heating systems, power train, and diesel engines. Students will complete a 100-hour internship at a truck and/or heavy equipment repair shop.

Admissions Requirements:
- Completed application
- Valid Driver’s License, CDL class A license preferred
- Pass a DOT physical and drug test
- Driving abstract
- High school diploma or equivalency diploma - if no diploma then a reading and math assessment is required
- Students must provide their own steel toe work boots
